I havent turned on he TV since the Super Bowl, and...

Wow! Just amazing. Life is way better without it. I just feel better. More energy. More clarity. No more negative murderous, horrific , dreadful stories, mind controlling, etc...It frees up your mind.
-I am paying $200 for comcast...I want to shut off the cable tv and keep internet-Im done with TV until football season...yes, I will miss the NFL combine and draft but screw it. Life is too much better since eliminating TV..

Here is the Problem, and I hope someone can help me-I was planning to shut off cable after the super bowl, but I di9dnt realize the Broncos were going to win the whole damn thing. Now I have hours of super bowl coverage on my DVR. Do I have to keep XFINITY to keep this stuff or is there a way to download that video onto a computer????? If so I will save $150/monjth and tell comcast xfinity to F O.

Wasn't a TV watcher much as a kid and I could live without it now. Bunch of junk on TV imo.

We have com cast too and it is so expensive . I don't think you can save that to anything

Oh dang, I was afraid of that. I wonder if there is some kind of cable that can go from the tv to a computer and possibly down load what is on my dvr. Would comcast tell me if it can be done? Im going to call them and see what they say. That stuff should be my property. Would suck if I have to keep comcast just because of the dvr

Honestly, this is one reason we haven't changed too Uverse. Fuzo has some stuff he wants to keep too. Lots of Blackhawks games. Let me know if you find a way to save

Just called comcast...Stored in the cloud, he says I have to keep xfinity..so they got me by the nuts for if I want access to the super bowl recordings ...he said they cannot be stored on anything external..what a crock of crap

Comcast is terrible. they do not even try to keep you if yoy tell them ou are canceling their service. Thanks for the info

Yes comcast is a ripoff...They try to make it seem like they are giving you a deal while they rip you off. Its always a package deal so you get stuff you dont ever need...I have a home phone thru comcast which I have neveer used but I have to keep it in order to get the special bundle deal..what a joke

I talked to the comcast bullying/billing dept- I asked her please give me the lowest price possible, ABSOLUTELY BARE BONES, in order to keep my internet and the dvr stuff I recorded. $149 a month!!! What a ripoff!!!!

Theres a way to rip your data off of your dvr. In the old systems you could remove the HD and throw it in a linux machine or external windows machine and move the data off. Some times its encrypted so you would have to use a converter tool but it just depends on your setup. Google your dvr model number/brand and see what comes up.

charter and time warner are no better. that's one of the resaons i went with direct tv that and the nfl ticket so i can watch all the games.

i have to have tv though to watch all the shows i enjoy and my nfl ticket of course. i like the histroy channel and other educational channels also
