Hey thanks so much everybody for thinking about me ! Really means a lot to me for sure. I did have a pretty good day, I hiked up to Mt. Jefferson to do the climb I've been wanting to do for ten or so years. I wound up taking the wrong ridgeline, I couldn't really tell because everything was in the clouds. so I had to bushwack my way up the side of this steep assed ridge it was hot a grueling even with 40lbs on my back. took me over an hour ! so by the time I got to the top I was whooped and thirsty as hell, I was so bummed, I drank alot of my water and ate just a bit, I brought MRE's so I wouldn't have to use all my water for dehydrated stuff. I had chicken fajitas which wasn't really that bad, I just forgot the tortillas. anyway, I was going to camp then make the accent at 04:00 kick it the rest of the day and go home in the morning. I has dehydrated bad and I only had a couple of liters of water left so I called it and went back down. going down sucked ! I fell a bunch of times and finally mad it to the Pacific Crest Trail again just feet from where I went in. The hike back was hot and dry and I was just so bummed out with myself for making such a mistake, almost embarrassed. it didn't take me too much time and I met alot of people hiking the trail as well. even came up on this older gal clinging to a tree taking a leak (so that how y'all do it)? I snuck backwards up the trail to let her finish, and came back down with a cough and a shuffle of my boot to let her know I was coming just incase. once I got close to the creek I filled my Camel Back (If you don't have one of these get one !! they are really cool) with water and headed back to my truck which was still there with a ticket on the window. The ranger said I didn't need to have it displayed just on my person, $5 bucks but I'll get a hold of them and explain. first stop was the closest store ! Man, you'll never know how good a bottle of iced cold Gatorade tastes and feels !!! S#it, when Joe and Cody talk about how important water is the're not kidding ! I'm pretty sore in the legs but all in all I guess I feel accomplished. I will give it another try probally next month if I can get a pass, yeah, ya gotta make reservations to go in the woods here now, aint that some s#it ? Hey, I just really want you all to know how happy I am that everyone thought of me. Thanks again everyone ! Yes Baby 1 it is good being a Cancer !Leaders did what others weren't willing to do, now they enjoy the things that others do not.
