Down in my neck of the woods a mushroom called the Morel grows this time of year.

I have already found a few pounds, but the rain and a cold front has put a damper on things. Today I will look again and hope to find more. They are very good. I like to cut them in chunks, then dip them in batter and deep fry those baby's.

somebody was telling me about hose. They grow here too. I've never eat them before.
