I always knew it was a good thing that we started taking our daughter to the gym with us at 18 months old. I am not complaining by any means, but all she wants to do is gymnastics. She never gets enough of it, lol. She had practice for 3 hours this morning and is now headed to open gym for another 2 hours. Sometimes I have to say "no" cause she just goes and goes and runs herself down. I guess it is in the genes, lol. Even at home she watches gymnastics and when it is softball season she is watching the college or pro girls teams on TV. I struggle to get her to eat better and more as well as hydrate enough but I wont give up on that. She always looks forward to gymnastics class no matter how long or often it is. We just have to make sure she still gets some friend time in cause at this point she would rather go train for her meets than hang with friends

Re: Think we created a mini monster
that's awesome. My daughter is the same way..She went to her first WSM (worlds strongest man) comp with me working the floor at 2 weeks old. The rest is history. Any time I go to the gym, and she can go, she does..and she trains with me. It's an awesome thing..She's proud of being strong too...At 7years old, she hit 40lbs x 10 reps on flat bench and deadlifts 50lbs with ease..She has hit 75lbs from 18" height LOL.

Re: Think we created a mini monster
"Friends are your worst potential enemy" have her do what she loves and hang on to her FAMILY for support, and all will be great. Eventually her best friend will be her husband. Then she will build a FAMILY to add to what you have built for her. She is driven and will excel in every aspect of her life.
