I have always wanted the family to serve to the homeless on thanksgiving and I have a hrad time finding a place that has it. The church in the area serves food and shelter on Saturdays and holidays but my daughter is too young to help there. I think this would be some rewarding and great for her to be a part of. has anyone done this?

Re: Homeless people on the holidays!
Yes Salvation Army takes volunteers to help serve dinner on holidays and run a food pantry daily where I live I try to donate 1-2 days a mth if I can also the bar/ hotel we got married at do free lunches on Sundays for the locals that have less money. It is very rewarding but could be hard on a young child we get a few crazy ones at salvation that yell and curse.

Re: Homeless people on the holidays!
Now you all got me thinking...If I can't feed the homeless physically maybe i can donate some funds to buy a dinner....that would be an amazing thing to do on this forum actually...the logistics of sorting out who to give it to though would be tough...Baby, Fuzo, mods...if you guys wanted I would throw money in that...
