Any military guys in here can recommend a decent rucksack? it doesnt have to be amazing quality I will only be using it for rucking long distances packed with shit to weigh it down and nothing else.
I was just about to buy one until i saw everyones reviews that it took a month to ship. I need one in no more then the next week or so and want something halfway decent. any recommendations?
I never meant to be better than anyone, I was just born that way. Its hard being a god amongst peasants!
Brother my favorite has always been and always will be the good old large ALICE pack. I slightly modified it so there's more padding on the kidney pad and on the shoulder straps. You can also add pouches to it if you actually want to use it for operational use. But just for rucking to get strong to train up for military life I would buy an Alice pack and get padding added to the kidney and shoulder straps if you need to. That's my go to
Gotta agree with chrisotpherm and gusto on this one. Large ALICE pack is the way to go but like gusto said add some extra padding if you are going to be covering long distances. Like MM said check the army surplus in your area. If you can't find one there plenty of places on line sell them. You should be able to grab one up for about 50 bucks. I actually use a small ALICE pack without the frame as my gym bag.
There is no hunting like the hunting of man, and those who have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never care for anything else thereafter.
i bought a 35L Swedish military surplus ruck off amazon for $30 shipped. I have had it for years and prefer it over my arcteryx $400 backpack for 2 day trips or carrying things bigger than a regular backpack.
it has an internal frame for distribution of weight so my back does not hurt and it is pretty tough.
