    The Pentagon has been unable to locate more than 40 percent of the firearms it has provided to Afghan security forces at a cost of $626 million, according to a report by a government oversight agency due to be made public Monday.

    speaking from experience here: if a marine soldier or sailor lost a single weapon they would relieve and end the careers of the entire chain of command. i have personally seen it. but i will bet you a full year's worth of pay that not one single person will lose their jobs over this even though those missing weapons will be used against us
