The Monuments Men 8/10. Great history. I would highly recommend this movie, but first watch the documentary The Rape of Europa
There is a lot in the documentary that they didnt have time to cover in the movie. At 18 years old, H itler was rejected from the Austrian academy of art, while jews were accepted in place of him. He never got over it, fueling his anti semitism and desire to plunder all the worlds masterpieces for himself.
We almost lost Michelangelos Madonna of Bruges to the Russians. It was stolen first by Napoleon, then by Hit ler. Now, thanks to the Americans, it is in Bruges Belgium where it was originally sent during Michelangelos lifetime.

Just more from the documentary -How obsessed H itler was with artwork. Almost sounds like a lot of the invading and conquering he did was to obtain more works of art. He was that obsessed with it. Also obsessed with purging all jewish art because he thought it was demonic. crazy

Glad to hear that you liked it. I thought it looked interesting, but wasn't exactly sure what to expect.

And kudos on the documentary recommendation; I may have to check that out and try to catch the film; though I'll probably wait til it comes out on disc.
