Really theres some kind of shotgun within reach in everywhere my house and in the car and don't need a permit to have them at least where I'm at. If I had to do something thats what I would use.

oh at my house i have a shotgun. but when i am out at the mall or going to a seedy side of town for the best BBQ i have peewee. and unlike most criminals I practice. i draw and fire, move and fire.

unlike sex i think it is less about the size of the pistol but the wielder. of course I would rather be shooting a .45 at a bad guy but it's not practical, i am damn good with my little pistol. most guys hate shooting their micro pistols as they are very snappy and not fun at all. but just like fighting practice makes perfect.

I do love the Glock and own a few, but my preferred weapon is my Kimber Custom Carry with an expanded mag well and trigger work.....smoooth. Plus the added benefit of the knock down power of the .45ACP.

that is a fine piece. love the 1911s but still too big for me to carry.
