probably was not the heat. the primer probably struck something under the seat. Mythbusters did a show with that in it. they could not get them to go off without putting them in an oven and heating them up to a temp that would ignite the interior of the car. gunpowder is actually pretty safe. and it takes a good shock or extreme heat to set it off.

what do you think about re-loads. i ahd bought some and it shoots ok, just dirty
reloads are ok if done correctly.
I used to reload but would check brass after tumbling in walnou shells to clean them. You can get by reloading about 3 or 4 times. Make sure they resize brass correctly or you might get to much or to little head pressure
