Well I sold one of my pistols and a shotgun and got this...

A STI Spartan IV 1911 .45acp. What a fine match grade pistol. Can't wait to shoot it. I have a springer GI 1911 but it is barebones with tiny fixed sights that have to be milled off to put new ones on. I have always regretted not getting a better model. the STI has interchangeable sights. I plan on putting some fiber optic sights on it. the fit and finish in amazing. It is smooth as silk and the tolerances are great. my springer has just a hint of a rattle like many 1911s but not the STI. it is also smoother right out of the box than the springer even though the latter has had 1000s of rounds through it.

That is very nice. I just picked up a S&W MP15 sporter in a .223. It was on sale for 499$ I could not resist. It is easy the best rifle in my collection

Oh man, I've been wanting a 1911 for years!! I got .45 colt long it's the pistol I have right now. It's nice to play around with but not too good for defense.

Nice! I have ran across so much stuff lately but I am not in a position to buy anything right now. My buddy was selling a NICE Romanian AK the other day for 595. I almost bought it regardless.

LOL. i am a thin lean guy. a big pistol like that would print badly. I will stick to my P3AT in my pocket or my M&P 9C IWB holster.

they are just such fine shooters. Honestly after doing research on 1911s these are on par with kimber in quality. so what the frame is made in the Philippines. the rest is made in USA and it's a USA company and I didnt spend $1200 on it.

go shoot one. i bet you fall in love with it. We have a sig .22 1911 we love as well.

I love 1911's. I wish i had more money for guns. I really want a nice revolver though. my next purchase will be a nice little 357.
