it sucks that whoever made the decision to have kids before building a career path that they have to resort to minimum wage for funding, that is what i consider a poor life decision. not my fault celibacy wasnt practiced with that individual(s), therefore i shouldnt have to suffer in the name of those poor people living in poverty. if you increase minimum wage naturally you are increasing the cost of living. either our president has some really unintelligent advisors and doesnt understand simple economics, or he is extremely smart and is using this as a diversion tactic from all the other real problems we have these days; and i dont believe our president is stupid.

im down for raising wages across the board for working class and lowering governmental jobs. maybe if they didnt make 6 figure salaries and made 40k a year they would care much more about us

The Gov of IL is blaming the financial situation on the employees, the lil guys. They take or money for retirement and misappropriate he funds the cause a shortfall in the retirement system. Well the general public believes him. So they want to take more money out of my check but increase min. wage and not touch the leaches that want to stay home and get something for nothing.

the government corruption argument is one that has been going on for decades now, this is a broken record which needs some glue or duct tape to fix, and we are plenty low on adhesives.

we just need people to open there eyes. are at least care. america was great because of the people in it we all cared about what happend 2 us we all wanted a better military and a better country. now we want to ban guns take away constitutional rights we could care less about the country or military all we care about is getting welfare or a new 50k car when we only make 20k a year it makes no sense. when troops came home from wars they where parades and flags everywhere we had pride in our country no one gives a shit now. i dont blame politicians i mean if you can do something and people dont give a shit then why stop? i blame america

You're so very right my friend. All raising minimum wage does is make it harder for the businessman to keep employees.Part of the friggin problem with the economy is how much people get paid now.Im not specifically talking about minimum wage employees,im talking about everyone! The cost of living has gone up so dramatically over the yrs because to able to cover the big execs payrolls they have to charge more for goods so much that the average person cant survive.Raising the minimum wage a couple $$ will not save these peoples lives and give them the extra money they need to get ahead in life.We need to cut the fat ass execs payrolls and lower the cost of goods so the average working class people can survive and not have to work 3 or 4 jobs.

Hows this sound, there is a nationwide payroll cut of EVERYONES pay say of 20% but there is also a corresponding cost of living decrease of say 40%?? Those % are just random numbers im throwing out there but the basis for the idea is there to work from.I know the initial reaction would be..........NO FUKIN WAY I WANT TO LOSE SALARY" but think about it,if the cost of living was dramatically less it wouldnt matter.Corporations do this all the time with their employees when they get transferred to different parts of the country or world.Say an employee is making 75k a year working in CA but then gets transferred to Texas, their pay is cut to match the coost of living.Same idea but the corporation is the good ol USA and the employees would be every working class person.

The prices of shit is just crazy today. The average new car 30-$50,000.Cell phones going for 6-$700.00.Food shopping you cant walk out for less than $200.00 anymore it seems for a couple of bags! This is what needs to be addressed.

Just an idea.Anyone have an feedback on this as to hy you think it would or wouldnt work? Id love to hear from you all.
