Attorneys?

With all due respect for any attorneys on here, just wondering what the general publics perception is of attorneys? Most politicians are attorneys and most politicians are shady, does that mean most attorneys are shady?
I have dealt with a lot of attorneys in my line of work and my experience has been that most are shady and will lie thru their ass to make a buck.
Maybe my opinion is skewed.
Do most people view attorneys favorably or dis-favorably?

yeah i forgot that it is always good to have a dirty liar i mean lawyer when you need to get out of a pinch. the ones in the military usually suck just to let you know

I have one in the family and he's as arrogant and pompus as the rest of them. Pretty sure being a slimey asshole is a pre-requisite for passing the bar.

I have a very good attorney/friend and he says that 99% of lawyers are scum just looking to make a buck.

Filthy scumbags...even when I needed to hire them for whatever, I felt dirty just dealing with them, and they were helping me.

He is, does so much pro bono work, has done a lot for us free of charge and most importantly, honestly. One lawyer I trust.

That's cool. Nice to know there's still hope if I'm ever in need of a lawyer. Although depending on the situation.. you may need a snake in the grass.

Haha.. my related lawyer told me to call him and no one else if I ever kill someone.. haha. Said he would notify the proper channels after that.

LOL...Ok, then I am not alone in this...good to know...
One time, I got falsely arrested for a concealed handgun...long story, but it was in my car in plain view...I had my attorney call and said he had a piece of paper for my chief witness to sign and could she come by and meet him at Village Inn and sign it..ok, she does, takes her about 2 minutes, and I swear to god, I got a bill from him that said $300 for his time and $20 for a meal at Village Inn...I shit you not

PS- Had all charges dropped, but it was a very simple case
