I just wanted to vent a little bit....

I HATE GNC... there, I said it, and feel better. A lot of the people there have absolutely no clue what they are talking about, or they talk to you like your stupid, or even better, tell you information that is just plain wrong and stupid. Not to mention the prices. My girl and I went to the mall today because she wanted to buy a dress, so while she was trying stuff on I wandered into the GNC just to browse and what not. I have not been into a GNC in over 7 years or so and now never plan on going back.

SO, all that being said I really appreciate everything you can learn from fitness geared and the forums within. Also a big shout out to our sponsors who sell quality products and reasonable prices. And to all the members here who are willing and able to share their knowledge with everyone, whether they compete, or its a hobby, or just want to get in shape.

i will use it in a pinch and when they have sales. we have one that is independent and not in a mall. they never give me a hard time or try to sell me bs even when i go to the one in the mall. haha, i have actually had both managers and the regional manager offer me jobs at all their locations any time i want.

I never venture into one of these as well but just happened to as we passed by one during the holidays while at the mall. They always have someone in there that thinks they know sooooooooooooo much about the products on the shelves that you have to take a second mortgage out to purchase anyway the mark-up is so much. It's evident I know what I'm doing by looking at me so after the guy finishes selling a customer some bullshit he asks me a few questions and I make sure to say the total opposite of what he just told that customer so everyone in there could hear me thus making him look like a total ass. The customer was holding a product in his hand that he just picked up on the advice of the rep and looking at me with a dumbfounded look on his face. I know in his mind he was thinking "well, look at that guy, he's got to know what he's talking about". LOL! Or it's some fat chic that thinks she knows what she's talking about working there also.

they work off of hourly and commission on the products that they are trying to push on you. it is different from month to month

the manager at the private one begs me to work for her everytime i go in. she even offered me 15bucks an hour and choice of hours lol. they have a great company it's just full of dumbasses. her store is private and not cooperate ran. they just use the franchise tag to use their name. prices are way different in her store

Those mall GNCs stay in business because people dont know any better. They go there thinking they are getting a good deal. Once they find out they are getting ripped off,they are like "WTF?"

HEY I use XYZ product PWO. Gives me crazy ABC's.

I walked in and wanted to spend money, but its all over priced. Some of their proteins break down to $20+ per lb.

i have a few buddys who work at gnc. he one of them told me there are told to push certain products and that they make bonus's if they sell enough. hes a big guy and actually knows his shit but he tells the people who come in and think a test booster will make them huge a load of shit they end up walking out with 300 bucks worth of shitty things they wont ever need and he makes bonus's and gets free products as well. he left gnc recently to go work for cellucore

ha ya they are pretty shitty around my way, If not ordering offline I'll use Vitamin Shoppe, much better prices and sales people don't pressure you into buying Cell Tech
