Senate leaders from both sides of the aisle vowed late Friday to scramble over the weekend to produce a new bill aimed at averting the fiscal crisis, on the heels of a high-stakes White House meeting -- seen as the last chance to come together before the tax-hike deadline next week.

isnt that such a sad and true fact zoot. last i checked it was supposed to be by the people and for the people and not line you own damn pockets and stay in office. that is at least the way i see these corrupt dirty old people that are running the show

they do it because they can exploit a crisis. they wait on purpose until TSHTF and then magicaly they got this 2000 page bill they pass thru congress that no congress member has even read, then say its what we the people wanted.
its a BS game and they got it down tight. this way with such limited time they can hide all the pork spending, taxes, and socialistic programs . i sure dont see anything getting any better for the working folks.
