Kid got launched into me!!

UGH!!

Yesterday night I was doing chest/arms at the gym.

They have a weird setup where all of the cardio machines line the walls and the weight machines are in the center of the room (free weights in a different room)

I'd finished with my dumbell presses and went to the other room to use the "Chest Press" machine.

I sit down at the machine and these 2 guys get on the treadmills infront of me. They're both loud, obnoxious, and look to be about 16yo. Anyway, I start my 1st set as they start sprinting on the treadmills. I think they were having a competition to see who could go faster or something.

Well, you guessed it. The kid infront of me steped too far forward and bailed. Lol.. that treadmill shot him out like a bullet! Right into me and the chest press machine. Luckily the weight machine stopped most of him and he didn't really hit me, but it caused me to drop my weight which pissed me off.

I just yelled at them to "Get the fuck out of the gym before I remove them myself". And they actually left right away!

Lol.. I was pretty mad at the time. But now when I think about it, I can't help but laugh.

Similar story at my gym, except the treadmills are lined up with the wall behind them about a foot. Well this woman was trotting along at a pretty good clip and next thing you know, she falls and gets shot right into the wall. Funniest thing I had seen thus far in the gym. Not to mention it was about 530pm, gym was packed and had an aerobics class waiting around to start.

Lol! Good idea cept he didn't really land in my lap. Kinda bounced off the machine and my knees! I'll keep that one in mind tho..:p

They should kick immature kids out for stunts like that. Don't get me wrong some kids are pretty dedicated to working out. Just the punks need to go.

Yes, I agree. I just took it upon myself to kick em out.
They won't give a membership to anyone under the age of 16.
My problem is that I work out at the local YMCA and the kids who come to use the pools will often sneak up into the weight room to fool around and/or kill time. It's these kids whom really tick me off. There's been a few who I've been able to kick out just by giving them a pissed off look and pointing to the door.

Funny.. posting at the same time, both of us saying the same thing. (YMCA sucks sometimes)

I hate to say it.. but even with all the crap, I kinda like the YMCA. It's cheap, close, has pools for swimming, has a hot-tub, and a sauna. The only thing that really sucks about the place is the fricken clientell. Always good for a laught tho.. plus this gym makes me feel big!

Once I was jogging on the treadmill and someone stumbled into my leg when I kicked back. Yea, I fell down. I have to say though, that nothing gets you moving than laying on a felt grinder.

Yeah... the way this kid was holding his elbow, I think he got some pretty good rug-burn!

thats great. You should have let the kid hang around though, I am sure the embarrassment would be worse than and ass whipping.
