Been away a little bit. Positive things resulting finally. As bad as things were with my wife to the point we were living separately in the house and had appointment to start divorce proceedings, I talked her into taking one of the weekend days she was going to spend with her family at the cape and staying with me on the strip. Spent Sunday of Columbus weekend and Sunday night and we talked thru a lot of what was major issues for us and drove home Monday in a totally different place emotionally. If things stay as great as they are now we will both be ecstatic. Training has been good with one bump in the road. Last December I had right delt MRI'd and treated with cortisone shot. Almost a year later still pain free but left one started up same way. Surgeon says I've had this issue since about 16 years of age. Shoulder bones never fused during puberty so I have a space in both delts with a little hook protrusion where bone didn't close and it has ability to rub on the tendons and with the hammer strength machine I was doing shoulder presses on with the slight incline to the bench was putting significant strain on delts and tendons on initial part of lift. Got cortisone in left delt Thursday and he says any pain returns at all come in and he can do arthroscopic surgery to take that piece off the two bones and smooth it down to help tendons. Says 4-6 weeks to recover but if I grind through pain instead, eventually rotator cuff tears and he estimates 6-8 months for that to heal. But if I avoid that machine and the cortisone works as good as the right delt did I may be all set. Started shoulder presses on smith machine Monday after the Thursday shot and got 185. Was limited to 140 after delt tweaked on hammer strength machine from a best of 230. So I'm keeping my head up and fingers crossed. Missed my peeps here
