My Internet connection has been bugging me for some time now, and it seems to be getting worse and worse everyday. Maybe it's just the weather,or maybe there are just a lot of people on. I have Clearwire.
Does anybody with Direct TV have their Internet and how do they like it? My damn Clearwire can goes off randomly, and searches for a signal sometimes forever!
Unplug the modem and the router. Then wait 30 seconds and plug the modem back in and wait for it to fully boot up, then plug back in the router and wait for it to completely connect online. After you do that reboot your computer and see how your connection is. Thats the first most basic step in troubleshooting your issue then let me know how it is.

I've done exactly this many times bro, only because I call Clearwire to see what's up with my connection. They have no other answer except that...
are you connected to the modem or a router? if a router are your using wireless? if so try rebooting the modem with the pc hooked to it and the reboot pc and see how it works to see if its the router or modem causing the problems.

I've done this to. I even unplugged everything for a day. Maybe because my Clearwire router is from 07'?
I have time warner cable and that shit happens to me like twice a week too.. not only that but recently my DVR stopped recording shows and i had to reboot that ***** too. i think they all suck
they just release all they're beta crap with bugs in it still so they don't have any down time, then later provide firmware updates when they fix their shit.. everything is going to suck i know for a fact.
Sounds like its the modem thats shot bro. When u called were they able to get an IP address from your modem? If not then they have to replace it. You should mos def be able to connect if u hard wire an ethernet connection from your modem directly to ur PC. If that works then the issue is the router.
