If I run I get those shinsplints and sore assed knees etc. I stick with fast walking 2miles on the treadmill.

I used to run 20-30 miles a week (about 2 years ago). My wife said I was getting to damn skinny and needed to get my ass back in the gym full-time. I don't think I could run a single mile right now without feeling the need for projectile vomiting or heart attack.
The burden of originality is one that most people don't want to accept. They'd rather sit in front of the TV and let that tell them what they are suppose to like, what they're suppose to buy, and what they're suppose to laugh at. You have Beavis and Butthead telling you what music you're allowed to like and not like, and you've got sitcoms that have canned laughter that lets you know when to laugh if you're too stupid to know when the joke is. People are too lazy and too stupid to think for themselves because America has raised them that way.

Same here! I used to run Cross country--many shinsplint memories and sore knees. I love the treadmill! Even better, the Elliptical machines are the best

When I kill my treadmill, I'll look into those elliptical machines. Everyone likes em it seems.

They are much easier on your knees and back. I tried one of the low-line Nordic-Tracs ~ $500-$600 very comfortable, and seemed to be less money than some of the treadmills.
