Alcohol makes you feel like crap because it is poison. I used to drink a lot for about 6 years after a divorce. I would get a hangover and just drink more booze to feel better. I was a regular at the local bars. One of the greatest days in my life is when I became a non drinker. In my mind I associated as much negativity to alcohol as I could. I never called myself alcoholic, but I certainly could have been called one. I didnt go to AA or anything, but the gym was my sanctuary. I vowed that I would never again under any circumstances consume alcohol. No matter what. Now I am in my 5th year of freedom from alcohol. Sometimes, its a little weird and not everyone thinks favorably of non drinkers. I meet girls who like to drink. I tell them I dont drink and sometimes they seem disappointed. LOL.
how are you big dzone, just tell people your allergic to alcohol or on meds you cant drink on, thats wat i say if i dont feel like drinking when i go out. being sober can be fun when there are all the intoxicated people making assers out of themselves but i do feel bad for them as i know that its not them its the booze.

Hey unclem. Oh man, I never realized just how stupid alcohol makes people until I quit. When I see drunks staggering around, slurring their words, talking all kinds of nonsense, I think to myself thank God I dont drink.
good job being 5 yrs sober big dzone. thats totally unheard of at the hospital. 1 out of 33 make it.

Thanks bro, I appreciate that. I tell ya man, I was drinking every night at the bar, then go home and drink some more. Next thing you know, its a nightly thing. There was a time that I didnt know if I would be able to stop. I know about those people in the hospital, with Dts, pancreatitis, liver disease and they die from drinking alcohol. Even though they know its killing them, they cant stop. Soon, you get sick when you quit drinking, so its better to keep drinking. Its hard to describe to people how alcohol can get a death grip on a person. Unless you have been in that dark valley, you cant understand it. 5 years now, but I can remember when it was brutal to go 24 hours without drinking. Now every day I am grateful for being a non drinker. It gives me a great feeling to tell people that. Ive had girls ask me; "So you wont even drink wine with dinner or champagne at our wedding?" I say "No, never, not under any circumstances will I allow booze to touch my lips, never!" I tell her I will go to a wine tasting party with her anytime as long as she doesnt mind me drinking water. LOL You have to have that kind of commitment to never drink again. Honestly, I dont ever crave a drink. When I think about how much vodka and scotch I used to drink, it makes me about puke. lol I never judge anyone who drinks. Its just not for me. Not now, not ever.
I dont drink very much but when i do it takes me about a day to recover..i normally wake up and am super dehydrated and i cant eat at all that day. Then i think...i wont ever drink again!! lol
I drank like a fish in my mid 20s to late 20s. Mainly because i was with the wrong crowd.
And in my early 30s I dated an alcoholic, so she and I used to drink weekly.
It has been a good 5 years since I don't touch the stuff much.
The last time I had 3 beers was around 2 months ago...I hated myself so much for doing that.....I was in pain for a few days after that hahahhahah really!!!
I am perfectly fine without booze. I rather take an extra shot of winstrol...makes life such a better place!!
