I'm looking at surplusammo.com for some cheap target rounds. I see the refurb'd stuff is cheap. WHat kind of quality is it? What about the Magtech rounds? Anyone used either of these? I need about 400 rounds by Saturday.

Re: Ammo
most of the stuff you get will be just fine. honestly if it's 9mm ammo walmart has prices that compete with anything online.
check Centerfire Systems, Inc. - Your Home For Ammo, Firearms, Magazines, and Gun Accessories, and ammotogo.com I got 500 .556 rounds from ammotogo and had it the second day after making the order

Re: Ammo
Well, after talking with a few places on the internet, they couldn't get it here quick enough. So I went to walmart and bought 6 boxes of the TulAmmo. The only problem is it is 180 grain which means some really good recoil. But that's all I could find. Good thing is that it was only 12.97 box. That's cheaper than anything I found on the internet plus no shipping fees"He woke up because I kept punching him in the face." --Thiago Alves

The refurb'd stuff was a descent deal, but then it would be about 20.00 for shipping which puts it almost cheaper just buying around here. The problem with around here is I can't find any smaller grain.

You aren't kidding! I didn't do adequate research whenever I first bought the gun (I was young and didn't think about it). If I had it to do over, I would have just bought a 9mm. If I start target shooting a lot, I will buy something different to do that with. My wife has a .380 and I was noticing in walmart that the .380 ammo was more expensive than the .40 in the same brand I was buying.
But, my next purchase will probably be an AK....unless I could pull off the AK and a 9mm"He woke up because I kept punching him in the face." --Thiago Alves

Re: Ammo
tul ammo is fair quality russian ammo. it is not corrosive but it is dirty. also make sure its brass cased. alot of russian ammo is steel cased with a zinc or lacquer coating to help feeding. it does wear your pistol out faster than brass. in a 200 rounds i would not worry about it but over the life of the pistol try to shoot brass.
.380 is expensive. dont know why.

Great info! Yeah, it is not brass. That's about the cheapest I could find on short notice so it was kind of a no option situation...unless I wanted to spend quite a bit more. I will for sure use brass only after this. Thanks"He woke up because I kept punching him in the face." --Thiago Alves

Another good thing is that a new indoor shooting range just opened up locally. It's 250.00 annually for a family membership. Sounded like a good deal to me. We will probably be joining there so we can go shooting whenever we want."He woke up because I kept punching him in the face." --Thiago Alves
