My 11 year old projection finally died and now its time to get a new one. I dont want to spend over $1500. I want an 1080 LED with 240hz. 3D is optional.
So tell me about your TVs the good and the bad. Which brand?

My favorite Tv's are prob Sony, however I have all vizio's in my house and I've had great success with them. Picture quality is good and can only tell its not as good as a Sony when they are sitting next to each other in the store.
i looked at consumer reports and cnet. the highest rated was samsung. i bought the 51" plasma. it has all the apps and stuff and is 3D. it had the best picture of all TVs in the stores we went to.
it was $1400 but i have a friend that works there so I got an additional 10% off and got a 3D dvd player for free, 2 pair of 3D glasses and paid for one at $30 (reg $100)
very pleased so far but they did not have it in stock so i pick it up tomorrow after work. actually the warehouse is 2 miles from my house so its very convenient.

played black ops last night in 3D! crazy. looking through the red dot scope it felt so much more real as there was depth. i played for a couple hours and never got a headache either
