She's hard to buy for because she never says anything she wants. It's usually just certain clothes here or there. Is it a no go for a birthday gift?
Our anniversary is in a few days too, I could do it then as well. It was just an idea.
Give me your woman's opinion?

I'm on with everybody else.
You cqan't go wrong with a .22mag revolver, .38spl, and a 9mm is always a good all-around for women as well because of the light recoil of the target ammo. not to mention the cheapest to target shoot other than the .22lr. You can put some very effective HP, (Hornady CD), which aren't +P, yet very effective.
I like my +P/+P+ for SD. Energy & velocity is excellent with these. All around, the 9mm is a great performer. cost, capacity, effectiveness.
Its very hard to tell without knowing her.? Did she like shooting, or was she just trying to learn cause you were trying to teach her? If she really doesnt like it...it would be like forcing it on her..Not saying that she wouldnt..Like I said i dont really know. I would try to hint in some way and see how she responds..I know women like the other things you said above, but i understand your trying to make this special, sooo..Hence the hinting..
She talks about wanting her permit quite a bit and says she likes shooting. I'll drop some hints and see. I know what you mean though. I don't want to force it on her. I want her to enjoy it

If she says that then she'll be happy as heck I'd bet. You might want to consider a pink one if she likes girly stuff. That would make her feel more like it is hers and hers only...lol. That's what mine wants.

yep. Smith & Wesson makes a sweet light-weight with titanium cylinder and pink grip w/the no-snag hammer. A friend of mine has it in a .38spl. That things is so damn sweet. It looks like those striker-fired revolvers, but the hammer is actually just ablee to grip with the tip of your thumb. I love that pistol. I don't have $799 worth of love for it though. with my broke ass.
smithfield xd .45 sub compact... beautiful... flawless no kick shooting with a big round... it was a bad ass gun and will be my next one... i could group 6-8 round better then i could with my buddys .40 cal glock... LOVE IT! check it out man
for my wife i wouldnt take anything less than a clock 9mm....she's worth that ATLEAST!!! (WHY....LOOKING TO TRADE? SHE'S DOES LAUNDRY AWSOME AND CAN COOK SOME MEAN STUFFED SHELLS!!!)
HE WHO MAKES A BEAST OF HIMSELF, GET'S RID OF THE PAIN OF BEING A MAN!!
The upside to the internal hammer revolvers is a woman could actually fire it from within her purse. You wouldn't want to do that with a gun utilizing a external hammer/slide. Personally, I would not put myself in a position to have to defend my life with a .22 caliber. Of course, it's better than nothing but you should have no problem with a .38 or 9mm(only reason I say .38 is because it's probably more common with the smaller revolvers that women seem to be more fond of.) The recoil is minimal and really it's about practicing with it and having good technique. If you are using it for protection you should be at the range with it until you are proficient and comfortable using it. One thing I always put on my guns are good night sights. Most gun fights happen at night and tritium night sights make a world of a difference. Lasers are cool but in a adrenaline fueled moment they are a lot more erratic and harder to use than you would think. Learning to use the sights properly with lots of practice is the way to go. Usually, the concealed weapons classes are quite informative for most people.
