The standing military press would kill my lower back. You are nuts, but then again I have a bad lower back from all the sports i've played, so I have to be careful with any overhead presses, thats why I stick with the smith machine!

I have a bad lower back as well - as I'm sure you know by the 'back injusry' thread. If you maintain proper form it's ok though. I think that smith machines are bad. It's not a natural ROM (straight up and down). When you do shouder presses, your arms go out and up, not straight up. LOL - it's funny how much a persons training ideas vary from person to person...
The burden of originality is one that most people don't want to accept. They'd rather sit in front of the TV and let that tell them what they are suppose to like, what they're suppose to buy, and what they're suppose to laugh at. You have Beavis and Butthead telling you what music you're allowed to like and not like, and you've got sitcoms that have canned laughter that lets you know when to laugh if you're too stupid to know when the joke is. People are too lazy and too stupid to think for themselves because America has raised them that way.
