dude...i live in the fukin woods!!! surrounded by 100yr old oaks that tower over my property....where snow falls nipple deep to an NBA player!!! and i lost signal 1 time in 5yrs!!! you NEVER had your cable go out? you cable company never went down for a couple hours EVER?? i went our and took the snow/ice off the dish....never happened again either....its not like 1998 anymore bro...the equipment is good shyt now...i'd do it in a minute if the internet part wasnt so much for my area

You are lucky. Mine goes out almost every time it gets a little stormy. Now, it usually doesn't stay out long, but if you are in the middle of watching a game or movie and then it starts going in and out, it drives you insane.

If I were you Fuzo, I would ask around in your area and ask them if they have any signal issues like this. It could just be my area, so take that for what it's worth. With that being said, it's not enough for me to switch to anything else. I love my Directv.

yea...i guess we was lucky...my fukin cable goes out all. the. time!! pisses me the fuk off. also..the equipment is CRAP. my dvr will record programs great...just NO FUKIN SOUND!! i've went through 6 dvr boxes in 4 yrs!! in my sons room, his box, it will change shows on channels...like, if you go to 8 (cw) you get 48(country music station)...now...you swithch over to 48...and its still the country music station....the box is fukin retarded!! i've went throung 4 or 5 of the regular boxes too...just junk!!!

You should check your signal strength on your receiver. It should be 99. If not you need to tweek the dish around a bit. If you have a good signal it shouldn't go out. I live on the gulf and have big storms all the time and mine is fine.

Mine goes out when the weather gets nasty but it's usually about time to shut it down anyway due to lightning and stuff,never really been a big deal.

Had DirecTV, and now I am with the dishnetwork. It has ALL the same channels, only I don't loose my signal when it storms like with DirecTV~
Still have ESPN, FX and so on, not sure who said it didn't~
