If you were brought up on the bible's teaching of an eye for an eye than surely you must have been taught to turn the other cheek. Two wrongs don't make it right. I guess it comes down to, if you know and understand why they dislike us, then you would know and understand why doing this is harmful to the war effort and any peace process. What you're doing by condoning this is perpetuating the anger against us.

I'm pretty sure Jesus was preaching against "eye for an eye"..I believe it was Mark Twain who said if we all lived by "an eye for an eye" we would all be blind.
Anyway, I just cant see ONE SINGLE benefit from this whacko pastor doing this. Well, of course, he will bring in a lot of cash donations and will become a national celebrity. He will be on Oprah, Dr. Phil and the cover of People, Time and newsweek. That pastor is going to rake in the $$$dough over this and he knows it.

Just saw that the state department has issued a travel advisory and warning to Americans in many foreign countries. Interpol has also issued a global alert to members in 188 countries. Yeah, this is a great idea. Unreal.

It's been the cause of more death than anything in the history of mankind. All for something that can't even be proven. If there was a god that created all of man, I would think that he would not want anybody killing ANYBODY else. And then there are those that condone the hatred and killing all because they choose to worship their deity differently.

Are you really saying Fuzo that you condone this and think it's a smart and reasonable thing to do? You say that building a mosque is in bad taste but this isn't? This I'm struggling to comprehend.

Building a mosque is a terrible idea right there at 911 they can build it in a different place. As for the book as I stated they can shit on us but when we do something out of context everyone wants to freak out. Theres going to be people who want the burning of the book and theres that dont want it and I feel if someone wants to do it then they have the right. Just like they have the right to build the mosque where they want to build it.Just because the terriorists say you better not burn this book that we shouldnt or else. It appears that way but I disagree. You have to think outside of the box. Religion is not the cause of the wars, politicians are. They simply use religion as a motivator to get their pawns to fight for something, but in essence it is power hungry rulers hellbent on stealing more land and ruling more people who want to go to war, not the people. Presidents, Dictators, Kings, and other tyrants are the only ones with the power to declare war. I doubt if many of them even believe in God, unless they think they personally are the King servant of God with the duty of doing his work. But most care nothing of religion but know that it will work in rallying their people to support the war. That's my 2 cents anyhow. When a war is started check the premises to see why there is a war. Every time you will find there is land to grab, people to rule (which bring taxes and make for larger armies), natural resources like oil to own, and money to be made.

It's not about backing down. It's about blowback. Every action has a reaction right? The reaction that we would get from this is surely not one that we would want. It would not be beneficial for anybody. And I would hate to see innocent people get killed over something this stupid that can easily be prevented. These extremists will kill any white American they see or any christian they see in response to this. Blowback is real, and it will happen. Sometimes you just have to swallow your pride and think rationally and sensibly.

I under stand the blow back but when do we as angry americans that want to lash out do what we want when the rest of the world can spit on us burn our flag talk shit about our country that has allows helped other countries out,but when 1 man wants to burn a book the media goes crazy.We are human also we have feelings and its time that when we get spit on then sometimes we spit back. Tirn this other cheek I can honestly say I cant and thats how Ive been my whole life. Someone screws me I want to screw them back . Ive been like that since a kid.Man if you guys knew me as a friend you all would think I'm your best friend. I take friendship so ****ing seriously, at one time I put my friends above my wife because marriage is never 100%. I now know my wife is my best friend through therapy but when somone hurts me I hurt back and lash out.Is it right NO but I have to learn to forgive and forget and I have forgiven alot. I respect our soldiers so much and like ive said before my dad fought in a war and I cherish his american flag I have in a case on top of my curao cabinet in a case my brother had made for me. I cherish that flag every day and look at it. No one in this house touches that flag but me.So I dont want soldiers to get killed but I know war is war and no one wins but I believe we have to fight for our country no matter if our president is right or wrong.Yes you guys have seen alot of bad stuff and you have changed your minds and I can respect that but then theres the other side that soldiers want to see this finished through to the end
