      Re: Crime Records

What I gathered from reading up on the laws, state and state-to-state, I think it's just that; state-to-state. Yes, I would've bet that acquiring your CCW would go through a Fed process for sure. But I think it's solely state-to-state.
I could be wrong. I have once before.

That 'delay' sucks, huh. Everyday is long if you know you got that piece of plastic, that repeats your rights, to come in the mail.
sounds good..i guess i will have to go to the county court house to get it huh?

yep. That'd be my 1st stop. Just make sure you get all the documentation they want.
There should be a phone number that you can call to verify any questions you may have, and check the status of your license.

            Re: Crime Records

In the State of Texas they want to know about ALL arrest- even juvinile , you MUST disclose that. That is clearly stated on the form you have to fill out. I have an arrest in Louisiana I have to get the details on before I can send of for mine-

My 2 favorite gun shops in town each have 1 of these little limited "Freedom" KelTecs.
It would be nice if asked for your CC license. Just point to the inscription and say, "here it is."duh...A dude named James Madison covered that base.

..how do I find the record? I think they want me to send documentation to them.

                      Re: Crime Records

In Indiana one can get a lawyer for around $200 and have all non-felony juvinile arrests wipped from their record.

                        Re: Crime Records

Hey guys..just finished my last day at work to get ready for the move to grad school.

Now maybe I can get this taken care of!

...I just found the notice of right to petition for the sealing of files and records signed and dated by me from the year 2000. Since this is for the 1999 incident would this take care of it if I send this to the Dept. of Public Safety? ...or do I need to get some other documentation up at the courthouse?

I want to get this taken care of now while i have the time off.

                        THANKS SO MUCH GUYS
