I don't believe you'd ever get the death penalty in that case anyway.

An interesting fact I once heard... it costs the same amount of $$ to go through with the death penalty as it does to keep the guy locked up for 40 years!

Tho I doubt that's true for places like texas where the process seems pretty streamlined.

This is just a personal opinion thread. No one is ever going to change there minds. However sticking somebody in a prison box is not a equal punishment to them killing your family. If we took them and put them into lifetime solitary confinement that might get closer.

God will be the ultimate judge. Texas just gets em there quicker.

OK... I'm going to help argue LOCO's position. Please, please, don't everyone assume it's my position as I'm undecided.

34pumped, you threw in a bit of a curve ball with the rape the wife first thing. Let's drop that part for a moment and go with the "Killed my wife and if I kill him I'm just like him".

I think what Loco is getting at is that... he killed someone, so you kill him.... you both killed someone.

That's the basis of the argument. Now you can add things like "Yeah, but maybe he'll do it again". To which Loco could argue.. yeah and so could you.

In north america, we tend to try to be "the better man" you could argue that's not the case with the Death penalty.
