    President Obama: Student loans a win for middle class

    The media and everyone was so focused on health care that this passed and has barely been mentioned. Obama has taken over student loans. Now you cannot get a student loan from anywhere but the government. The problem is the bill just was signed in. Students applying for loans are left hanging. Banks or other financial institutes can't give out loans. The government doesn't have any money for loans, so how will they fund it?

    This will be interesting. He says he will help everyone including middle class. Some how we mange to not qualify for any of Obama's programs he's passed. I went over everything with our accountant and we didn't qualify for not one of his so called stimulus credits. I'm just glad I don't need a student loan. If feel bad for those wanting to go back to school.

    I'm still in school and I have to sign up for next years classes. I'll let you know if anything is any differently...at least from my end.

      I was aware of this and Fox News has spoken about it. The president mentioned it in his state of the union, and I wrote a blog about it on my website. If interested in reading it, here is the link:

      Basically, the idea behind this (though they won't tell you this) is to persuade college students to take government jobs in return for a shorter payback period. If you take a government job it will be a 10 year payback and if you don't it will be 20 years. This is being done to further increase the size of government. As I have been saying all along, we now have a dictatorship in power and their plan is to turn this country into a complete socialist country, and eventually I would bet Obama will be our dictator the same as Hugo Chavez is in Venezuela.

          Good info, JsJs24. Once again it's just another socialist move, now they have more control over where you can go to school and it sounds like they are trying to control what kind of job you'll get.
