They say he picked the Masters because he will have way more control over the media than in a smaller tournament..The number of media allowed at the masters is very limited...Also the crowd at the Masters is much less likely to boo. Plus its his best event. The guy is probably going to be unbeatable now that he stopped chasing tail.

I usualy watch the Masters. It's about the only tournement I watch. I will not watch it this year just because you won't see anything but Tiger. No matter what else is happening in the match play, all media will be focused on Tiger and his every move.
Too bad, I realy enjoyed wtching it

I won't be watching it. I'm so sick of the dayum paparazzi attitude of the media anymore...like ya pick up the paper or turn on the news, and Tiger Woods is front page news 24-7, even when there is a war going on, the economy is in the toliet, the rest of the world hates our f'n guts, etc.

I never paid too much attention to golf on the tv. or in real life.
I lived in Aiken, SC for a year-in-ahalf. Those folks take the Masters like the people in Florence, SC take Nascar at Darlington. So...I got to see the Masters on every tv during that time, and a buncha crap leading up to it. Aiken is just across the state line from Augusta.
Short answer; Haven't before, and won't now. Tiger or no Tiger.

I personally don't care what he does in his spare time. I like watching him play though because he has taken the sport to another level and if you have ever played golf, then you can really appreciate what he has done.

He picked the Masters because he is chasing Jack's records and the Masters is a vital part of that. He has a long history with this tournament. "They" are the ones that have spun this story out of control. Speculation is why it is being rammed down our throats. The media is a joke and always has been a joke. I mean come on, how often do you hear the media reporting goos news?

That's really not any different that has been since he has started playing. When a player comes out in a sport and dominates, that is what happens. Although the Masters is not match play, can you name any tournaments that have not been focused on Tiger in the past? Even when he gets cut, he is talked about all weekend. No different than Jimmie Johnson in Nascar, Lebron James in basketball, or Brett Favre in football.

That is the media's fault. It has nothing to do with Tiger. Unless the media has something to report that helps out Obama, you won't hear about it.

not a golf fan. never seen what was so great about tiger...didnt agree with the god-like status he held. i'm not intrested at all. now...if they handed out 500 tickets to a local rock radio show to have a contest and they announced that the event was gonna be live and uncencored, with an open bar...i'd might watch!! that would probobly be good!

I'll try to watch some of the Masters to see if his game is up to snuff. If I watched golf it was to watch him, Nothing has changed for me. I just enjoy watching him play.

Well, unless you have really gotten into golf and know how hard the stuff he does is, then you can't really appreciate what he does. It's like when my wife watches it, she doesn't see him doing anything that anyone else isn't doing...but when I watch it, he just amazes me what he can do with a golf club and how mentally strong he is on the course. Those are things that casual watchers can't appreciate. The status he held was put there by the media. They built him up to some kind of superhuman....you can't blame a guy for someone else talking about him.

You mean like football and baseball where they whine about not making enough money and then the teams with the richer owners dominate the leagues? Then you are only as good as the other guys on the team? No thanks. MMA and golf are for me. Every man for himself. Haha!! The way the PGA tour players train now, they are in as good of shape as any other athletes.

Why do people care what other people do in there life.If tiger got caught cheating so what why should we judge him. I'm sure some of us here have been cheated on or done the cheating but do we make fun of you or your friends make fun of you. No they will support yopu no matter what good or bad.. So what he did it its over he had a sex addiction or what ever you want to call it. He has money and when you have money you have power and can do what you want. He's the best golfer in the world and of all time.If yopu dont know what it takes to play golf then you dont know how hard of a sport it is.And I can bet that the odds will be preety high if anyone of us have hundreds of millions of dollars that we will change in some way.Leave tiger alone and lets deal with our lives instead of saying he's the bad guy. We all have negatives with our selves

Well I'm with Dave on this one- I don't like golf(and yes I have tried to play before) and I could care less if Tiger fell off the edge of the world. Like it or not these so-called superstars are heros and role models to a bunch of people and they should try and at least lead a good and honest life. If his wife wasn't giving him any or he just wasn't happy, then he should have been man enough to end the relationship without putting her through this
