sorry bro..i used to SHRED!!!! but, i had a forearm accident when i was 22 and it all ended...i cant play longer than 5mins without my forearm feeling like its on fire!!
hopefully someone comes through for you

I am just starting myself in acoustic. My forearm burns like that too but I think its because I haven't gotten used to it yet. I still have problems with the fat part of my finger hitting the string below. I guess it all comes with time.

it does...you'll get it. i started at 13. i had to buy guitar magazine and hit parade to get tabs, lol. self taught. i could play by sound and never did learn my notes. my son did it right. he learned his notes first, off frickin youtube and then chased the songs...kid could smoke the olman and i played in bars in tampa and clearwater...but...alot has to do with your look too when your after gigs. i'd just google "guitar tabs" and shyt like that...you'll get them

I'm not really after any gigs or anything. I was just always interested in learning to play and finally decided to.

my son does he does not play tab but i know most local music shops sale it or will order anything ya want

Yeah, I actually take lessons at my local music shop. They don't have anything I am looking for in there, but I haven't asked them to order it yet. I am trying to actually learn the chords and stuff first without someone just telling me to put my fingers in this spot to play this song. But I do want some on hand to learn them along the way.

Call me a nerd, but I also went out yesterday and bought a music theory for dummies book to read. When I am taking my lessons, I am completely lost as far as terminology goes and that bugs me.

What genere of musica? Online is the best, unless you want to pay at a music store. I played for yrs, but work and stuff...just havent had the time. Have an Ovaition now..

Anything to be honest. Obviously country songs are good acoustical. I like Shinedown, Darius rucker, 3 doors down. I personally like any type of music as long as it has a good beat.
