this was AMAZING tis morning. on the way to work, i turned on to a street a little north of here and i seen this...the rainbow on the left and the right was SO BRIGHT, it looked like 3 suns!!! i was in awe! i had to pull over and just look at it. i noticed there was about 10 of us pulled over just staring at this sight! i took off and headed for work...when i got here, you could still see it and the ends of the rainbow was still pretty bright, but not as well. i snapped this pic....its still pretty cool i think

wow! awesome indeed! way cool.
I just had a refresher on Maxwell's equation, Einstein, all those guys that realized light could do amazing things. Bending, splitting (the rainbow/prism), etc...
One of the back-to-back programs about light had a scene of this exact phenomenon. The ground was snow covered. The sun was just above the horizon a decent bit, with the rainbow and it looked like 3 suns.
What a coincidense. That was just last Sunday I watched the programs on the science channel. and you actually witness it a couple morning later.
too cool!

nope...never seen it before...but i tell you bro, as cool as the pic is, it does not do it justice!!! it was awsome to see....and, from the angle i was erlier, you could see the full rainbow and the bottoms of it was SUPER bright!!! dude...it was just amazing

a co-worker posted this on the internet somewhere and he's getting a bunch of replies. apperently, this is call a "sun dog" and what we got here is a double "sun-dog" which we're being told is very, very rare!! i just thaught it was cool. we sent the picture into the local news

we did...i guess fox showed the pic on last nights weather and said it was captured and "sent to us by a viewer", lol...i cant even get my 15 SECONDS of fame!!! lol
