yeah, well...I'm not. I'm contemplating how I can work something out this weekend. I have a paycheck that's 2wks overdue. That damn thing better arrive tomorrow! I'll be pissed if I have to come home empty handed because of someone else's slow ass.

guy across the street has a 40 clock w 5 mags 15 rnds ea for 500.00.
He said you can get a box of 40 cal ammo every month free from homeland security.
Anybody heard about this?

haven't heard of that. A free box a month isn't enough.

That's not a bad deal though. So long as it's like brand new.
Any Glock .40 or 9mm is $539 out the door, at my local gun shop. That's brand new, with case, 2mags, etc.
The cost with a .40 comes with ammo, though. $17-20 for .40s&w. I'm getting boxes of 9mm for $9.95.

I've still not heard of that, but if you shoot just once a month, you're still out well over the cost of your 9. Even bi-monthly. Figuring an easy 200rds an outing. The cost grows the more you shoot, of course.
