Well I backed down the driveway all the way to the street and then came to a stop and put the truck in drive and started to take off. Thats when I felt that I ran over something on the back end. I looked and didin't see anything so i pulled up father and there he was. I don't know where he was hiding, but when he jump out of where he was, apparently he decided to stop in front on the back tire. Not a smart move! I ran over his neck and head so needless to say- he didn't make it. It hated to lose him cause he was a could rat getter, and I had to explain it to the wife and kids, but they all took it well and all is good again. Please don't give me sympathy- cause I'm not the type that gets sad over these types of things- I understand that my animals outside always run the risk of having something happen- I just prefer when its not me doing it. Anyway not sure why I posted this, but I did. Note to self- bang on the truck prior to getting in it to leave!

Re: Killed one of my cats
That hit's home. I did the same thing when I was in high school. I was backing out of the garage. I always look for my cat before I started backing out. He was sitting beside the car. Then for some reason he ran under the car and I couldn't stop. It paralyzed him from the neck down. The vet asked what I wanted to do, and the only think I knew was to have him put down. I hated making that decision, but I felt like that was the best. I always try to remember it was accident and accidents do happen.
