No I havent heard of it. I would be very interested in hearing more about this and your experiences, Kite. Maybe I shouldnt say hogwash. Its just that I havent seen anything personally and find many of ghost and UFO tv shows are dubious. I would really like to see proof. Its not that Im not interested. This is the most condensed version that I could find. The equation is usually written:
N = R* • fp • ne • fl • fi • fc • L
Where,
N = The number of civilizations in The Milky Way Galaxy whose electromagnetic emissions are detectable.
R* =The rate of formation of stars suitable for the development of intelligent life.
fp = The fraction of those stars with planetary systems.
ne = The number of planets, per solar system, with an environment suitable for life.
fl = The fraction of suitable planets on which life actually appears.
fi = The fraction of life bearing planets on which intelligent life emerges.
fc = The fraction of civilizations that develop a technology that releases detectable signs of their existence into space.
L = The length of time such civilizations release detectable signals into space.
Within the limits of our existing technology, any practical search for distant intelligent life must necessarily be a search for some manifestation of a distant technology. In each of its last four decadal reviews, the National Research Council has emphasized the relevance and importance of searching for evidence of the electromagnetic signature of distant civilizations.

My experiences started when i was young. Man, it scared the hell outa me! I was in my grandparents house which is more than 100 years old. I was down stairs by myself and heard something upstairs. I was prolly 10, give or take. I start goin up the stairs like I'm Mr. Badass, gonna do something if there was someone up there, lol! I get half way up and look back. I see this woman coming towards me so I haul ass to the top and turn again. I see this woman right there with her arms outstretched like you would an animal, letting them know you arent going to harm them. She had this concerned look on her face that I'll never foreget. I of course freaked, yelled and closed my eyes for a second. When I opened them, she was gone. This happened about 6 months after I had died on an operating table and was brought back. In my "dream" at the hospital, I saw a woman followining me up this winding staircase shaking her head to indicate "no". Kinda funky huh?
Since then I've had a few experiences like when I had a water bed, it moved one night as if someone had sat on it. When I got the balls to look, noone was there. I've awaken to see figures in the room, had doors close, electronics to malfunction like tv's turn on, radios turn on, etc...
Back to the UFO thing though, I once was anal probed. Oh wait, that was just Fuzo, lol! I had to through that one in there, lmao!
Although I've never actually seen any ghosts before, I've had experienced paranormal activities.
Sometime in late 1988 shortly after I was hired into LE, our division had relocated to another building, which was located in New Orleans' Louis Armstrong Memorial Park. Mostly all of the original buildings there used to be homes and I was told that the park was once a slave plantation. Anyhow, my first night working in our new location, I remember our watch commander telling me, around midnight, that she was going to make her rounds throughout the various posts. As far as I knew, I was alone in the building. I don't remember when but somehow, I had dozed off while watching TV but had awaken at about 2 A.M. and went to the men's room. While there, I suddenly began hearing footsteps going back and forth on the second floor above me. As I'm listening and wondering what the hell it was, it began going faster until the "walk" sound more like running back and forth. I radioed the watch commander to ask her what her location was and she told me that she was at City Hall. I then told her that if she needed me that she could reach me on the radio and I'd be sitting in my car that was parked outside. Oddly though, after that incident, I never experienced anything like it again and we were housed in that building for the 11 years that I spent on the force before resigning.
Most currently, I always go to bed with my TV on and the music channel playing on the digital cable system. I find it relaxing, plus I can't sleep with plain silence. However, I've waken up a few mornings with my TV turned onto another channel instead. The first time it happened, I didn't think much of it. But after the 2nd time, I got weary about it. So I tried something new. Assuming that there was probably something wrong with the remote, I sat my remote on my desk and pointing away from the TV/cable box. But when I woke up the next morning, the channel had been changed and the remote was in the same location where I'd left it.

Right now they are showing the scariest movies of all time on GMA. I remember seeing the movie Psycho when I was a little kid. It was so traumatic that I wish my dad would not have let me see it.
I liked that orignal The Haunting. Carrie was a scary as shit movie. What Lies Beneath had me jumping outta my skin. What other movies get you skeeared?

Man, the Exorcist had me trippin when I was a kid! That movie and The Shining always got the heart pounding.
Cool thread. I believe, as my house is haunted. It's an old house, here before Indiana was a state. Part of at least. A 2 story addtion was added in 1875. It been remodled several times and I myself remodling over the years.
My family and I have had several experiences. I'll start with my daughter. One night she sees a shadow of a man sitting in a chair in her upstairs bedroom. My wife has heard voices from down stairs while she was tanning upstairs. I've been touched several time. One time the touch let a mark like a burn. I used to not believe, until I got this house. We aren't scared or anything. We've gotten used to the weird stuff. We just laugh it off, saying there's the spooks again.
My friends dad has always said that something followed him home from Vietnam. A monster or demon. My friend gave my wife a bead necklace he made. I Was out of town. My wife said she woke up and the bed was shaking and there was this evil monster at the foot of the bed. The next day she gave him back the necklace and it never happened again. I don't believe in ghosts, but I can't call my wife a liar. I don't know maybe his dad did something over there that caused him to be cursed.

I don't believe in ghost's persei,but there are too many thing's that we don't know about the world we live in to not believe that there is a posibility of stranger thing's than fiction.The possibilty of parallel universe's for one.

If you are truly a loving person and isnt into the material world, maybe it might happen to you..I hae know several ppl that swear it happened to the...I was brought up Catholic, so even tho i dont go one a regular baisi, itill believe the spirit lived forever.
I believe in angels and demons for sure, as far as ghosts not sure really. my mom swears her and her mom and sis all saw there dad a few nights after he died though.
