I always carry in my truck and yes there is always one in the chamber- no I don't have a license to CC and don't need one for my vehicle in my state

same in nc you can carry in your car as long as it is in sight

Funny huh?
CC here means it has to be concealed and not a big holster in plain sight. For vehicle its the same if you have a CC it has to be concealed. If not a CC permit holder vehicle gun has to be in plain sight. Got to know before you go.

Thank goodness in FL the gun can legally be concealed without having a permit. It just has to be in a buttoned holster, closed case,(hard or soft), zippered shut, etc...in the glove compartment...
and yes, one in the pipe is the way. In a stressful situation, you don't need 59thousand motions to save your life. Muscle memory might not serve too well in a life or death situation. Hell, idk if anyone could practice enough to claim muscle memory for those motions. I've heard it though. I don't think so though.

damn all zipped up like that? Here it is just hidden from view.
I keep my rig attached to the inside wall of the map compartment. Nothing in the way, open from the top spares ready to go also.

no, it doesn't have to be in a case, or zipped. Only if nothing else. In a holster is fine. That's how I do it. It just takes a flick of the thumb, and the button flips open.
