The nominations closed in Feb, so he was in office for 2 freakin wks when he got the nod for it? Please, enlighten me. wtf did he accomplish to desserve this?

LOL....I saw the title and knew what it was about. I agree, there is no prestige with the award anymore but giving it to Obama based on his campaign speeches only reconfirms the committee is a bunch of extreme progressives after giving it to Al phucking Gore for his skills in spreading a fraudulent claim around the world.

You know the sad thing is, he is so popular in America and around the globe (for reasons I dont understand) he will prolly get re-elected. Its a sad next couple of years...I wonder if they will make a new title, "Most Decarated President" all those awards for doing shit...

The award is voted by a board of Norwegians, which are from the most socialist country in the world. True socialism exists there, where a prince makes no more money than a truck driver. Go figure, they give Obama the award.

yes sir. I'm with ya. It hit meaningless status with Al Gore, but one could make the mistake in just thinking that the peace prize group just buy right into false claims as fact. Hence giving it to Gore. Still meaningless, though.
Now this Obama thing. That's a whole nother display of group stupidity. Obama got it for complete bullshyt that he sold the world during campaigning for president! That award is meaningless at best!
You say, "if they give it to him". They did. He has it, along with the $1.4million dollar prize check. Which, of course, Obama won't keep for himself. That goes against all he's about. I'm anxious to see where he donates it.
