yeah, I sleep with a big mag light to blind 'em with 1st, and if I don't see any weapons that go bang, and they haven't hurt my dog or anyone yet, they might not get barked at from the Mossberg. But if they get sneaky, the 00buckshot will reach through doors, walls, etc...
I would hate to get ahold of someone and then end up with holes in myself, though, for giving them the benefit of doubt.

that's the deal. I couldn't imagine someone actually entering my home without weapons. That would justify one of those dumbest criminal reports. His mug-shot would be good. They'd have to clean him up for sure.

brass knuckles are a weapon here...same as a knife or gun.
upgrade...give yourself the gift of reach.

At home, I dont have firearms at the ready if something happened. I only keep a steel 5 knuckle death punch and an extremely huge sharp knife close by at all times. I live in the country so its really pretty crime free out here but if someone shows up unwelcome, they willbe greeeted by the death punch.lol

What do you keep around just in case?
                  THEY TOOK YOUR GUN?!?!?
                  WHY???
Was it illegally carried concealed? Here if you get stopped and its in plain sight you are good to go...permit to carry means it can be concealed on your person or in the car.
We have to take a class and pass the test and qualify at the range to prove competancy. Prints and background check and youre good to go...

                    Re: Personal Protection Preferences

In Texas we can legally carry concealed in the vehicle with out a permit- the permit is for carrying concealed on your person. You can actually carry concealed on your person without a permit if you go straight from your car to wear you are spending the night- like a hotel and such

                      Re: Personal Protection Preferences

Same in FL. You can carry concealed in your car so long as it's in a holster or some kinda of case. It can't just be out. Long as it's in a button holser you can put it wherever in your car.
I need to check on that walking from car to the house with it concealed though, even though I usually just carry it. Sometimes the old lady caddy-corner wants to chat, and I don't want to be standing there with a 9 in my hand. ya know how neighbors come up with conclsuions...

but as E said. Why did the law take your 357? They can't take your gun unless you were carrying it illegally.

                        Re: Personal Protection Preferences

^It was a jefferson county sheriff in denver. My gun was in plain sight. He called in reinforcements and they searched my car and arrested me and charged me with felony concealment of a firearm. It was in a holster and the leather strap was up under the seat, although the gun was in plain view. he was just an A$$HOLE. It was a farce. I had to hire an attorney and all kinds of shit. They never gave me my gun back even though I had all charges dropped and it was deemed an illegal search and seizure. Just another reason to HATE cops.
It was on Christmas Eve, just to add insult to injury.

thats a lawsuit but you'd be in front of the locals on the jury...
illegal as hell. Sometimes I want to just....oooooogh! dont get me started!
COPS SUCK! OK some COPS SUCK.

YEAH YEAH YEAH...cops have a tough job, but if they try to take our guns it will only get tougher.
The criminals will always have them and if they make it illegal for law abiding people to have guns then they'll make a criminal out of ME.

I WILL NOT GIVE UP MY WEAPON.
