around 110 down here, but coupled with the 8oo degree equipment on the deck with no shade and breeze -I'd say more like 150-200Comment

I was in some 110-112 record heat in South Carolina in '99, I think it was. I remember seeing heat index of 117 on the news.1 up

Stuck for an hour on the Phoenix airport run way in the middle of summer. It was over 110˚F. I thought I was going to passout several times.Comment

OMG! inside an airplane obviously?..I would have issues keeping calm. They would have to open the doors and let me just atleast get a breath of fresh air. Even though it's hot outside, I would gasp like coming up for air.Originally posted by dixiechick View Post

I can't say I know for 100% certainty but I do know there was a time I was on in Indian reserve and it was 104 in the shade.
Not sure anymore what state that was in.
But I would be willing to bet some of the places I've passed through were peaking in the 110's

I always would screw with him and say "bullshyt, it doesn't get hot here". He hated that. He would sing all the songs that mention MS heat. There are allot of 'em. The outside temp was 110˚F. I have no idea how hot it got inside the plane, but it felt every bit of that an more. The plane was full. The pilots are required to turn the engines off while waiting like that which means no a/c. He would turn the engines on occasionally to give us some air. It was awful... stuffy, hot... We chartered a big fishing boat off the outerbanks one year for some tuna. Must be over 110 with the sun shooting off the water. thank god there was an air conditioned cabin cause we were out drinkin till 3am and had to be on the boat by 7. did catch our fill of tuna though. Caught so many that we had to come in early cause the boat bin was full. Came back with 120 steaksComment

driving across that desert in southern california...I dont remember the temperature but it was ridiculous. I forget the deserts names. Is it like death valley or something like that? I drove it at 100 mph for hours and never turned the A-C on once...I just rolled the windows down and took off my shirtComment
