  • what's up with insurance companies...

not covering things lately. I had mine not cover the best hearttburn med that works for me because there's no generic for it. The reason given is that there are other meds for acid reflux with generics. (basically other meds that do the same thing for cheaper). But that's complete horseshyt because there is a difference from one to the other. For example, I went thru 180 prilosec in the time that 30 Nexium last, and the prilosec still didn't do the job Nexium does. But, no generic, no Nexium. They wouldn't even cover with the brand name coverage where I pay more. Just straight up "no". wtf is that? My doctor told me that insurance companies are doing this allot now. How can they go against a doctor's script? How is that within ethical medical/pharmacuetical guildlines?

WTF is going on? Do the insurance companies know that that's not even a gnats ass as bad as it would be if universal healthcare were in effect, so they flex their "we ain't gonna cover that shyt" muscle cause they know we'll buy it. Cause fuk. We're still paying for ours, while they're turning shyt down.

Insurance companies are breaking the law and doing it right out in the open. Not enough people are complaining. You have to be all over your insurance company because the adjusters are taught to deny people, unless you complain. If your insurance company gets real ggressive with cutting you, threaten them with a letter to the insurance commisioner. Thats the only recourse we have short of taking them to court for "bad faith"

That's what I wanted to do with Nexium. Just pay the higher price, which is only $20 more minimum, $50 max.

generic is the same thing. I bet if we all took a study and they said they gave us the name brand and it was really the generic we would not know it. Thats how pharmacuetical companys make money by selling the generic also which is the same as name brand but a different name aka generic

Damn I guess I coulda quoted and broke each one up, but fug it. I'm here now.
But this is exactly right. The insurance companies are breaking all kinds-a rules/laws/what the fuk ever they want. And they are trained to turn shyt down on the first go. I have to push the hell out of ours. What sucks is ours, my family's insurance just changed from Aetna to UH, so we're having to go through with all the new shyt, changhe-overs, $10 higher co-pay, etc, etc...Then the fukers say no to some shyt I need. They already don't pay, nor did the last one for some shyt I have to have. BC/BS were the best, easiest, and never turned shyt down company that I've ever had. They saved me allot of money and headache. But, to just pay for them out of pocket gets to high. The sneaky bastards raise the premium massively over a 2 year period. They're known for that too. There is a difference on some things Fuzo. A big difference. My acid reflux tells me so. Same with generic Advil compared to the real thing when a migrane is coming on. And I had generics in my little Advil bottle that I carry with me before and was thinking, "why am I having to take 3 more?" Then I saw in my hand why.
