Here's how you tell the difference in the '06-07 and '08+ models by looking at them.
The side fairing on the '08, where the (R6) decals are, have that point added pointing toward the rear. Also, the bolts that attach the fairing in the front, that same area as the added point, are hidden, as shown here.1 up

The only other change made aesthetically are on the tail section. They made it a bit more rigid where it flares out. It's thin if you level off with it, the flared out sections that is. And they actually come to a point instead of connecting back to the tail.1 up

that is true the 08+ models have a 2 piece tail and the 07-07 have a 1 piece. I like the 2 pice but it's a big deal to change it over. there is some other small differenced like the shape fo the tank and the side tank panels and stuff like that but nothing that a true r6 lover would pic up on.Comment

Fuz, what junk in the back, I don't need no fancy tire hugger, what rear pegs?, it's the full Two Brothers exhaust that I want w/carbon fiber slip on so let me know when you need my address to send it, and I like to see through my windscreeen.
