No, I didn't have the stomach for it. I don't like government intervention in my investments. Your intitial analysis was correct D, the company is worthless. $-90 a share with pension obligatons, without it, at best $-20 a share.

I'm working on my MBA right now. This summer semester I started taking a class called Corporate Finance. This book was published in 2007. For one of the Balance Sheet Analysis to determine how well a company is doing, an analyst should do the Market-to-Book ratio aka Price-to-Book ratio. Typically a company wants that ration to be above 1. They used GM as an example and GM's P/B ratio back in 2006 was .5!!!! I was like WTF???? The average PB ratio for the auto industry was 1.5 at that time. Google had a P/B of 15! So GM's problems started way before the collapse of the banks and sh!t. Their whole board of directors should be taken out back and shot! How the hell do you continue to operate a company when your damn P/B ratio is less than 1? They should have taken serious cost cutting measures to try and raise their freaking equity!

well true...theur problem started the day they decided to agree to a union and offer good pay/retirement programs. their "legacy" cost's of doing biz was WAY out of line!! the banking just stuck a fork in it.

I took a bath on GM. I bought it at $3.08 a share, and sold it for $1.60 a share once they announced the possibility of a reverse 100-1 split. But I did take my money and buy GE at $7.93 a share, and come out waaaaay ahead on that transaction. Let's see those greedy union workers now. NOW they're ready to make concessions.

the republicans cant do a thing about this we dont control the majority anymore.Its the liberal democrats that will continue to pass the bills to help them out.Its out of control spending this president has surpassed bush in debt 2 trillion in his first year and its only been a few months him in office and nothing has worked .America cannot to afford to bail them out. just wait until everyone is screaming about there taxes being raised tothe gill next year when this dumb ass said he wasnt going to raise taxes.4yrs he's out. and I can give a alot of republicans that dont want to bail the car companies out let alone everyone else
