there never was a production model mustang that could do what a production model vette could do. At least not to my knowledge. Perhaps a dodge viper could be arguably the top american production sports car. I dunno. I'll take the vette.
yeah but you can buy 2 mustangs for the price of 1 vette

like pig said...for the money...that stang can KILL that vette!!! and you can bank the extra. the aftermarket you can do with the stang can make the car smoke the vette for an overall cheaper price!! (and the "dodge viper...top american production...", that whole bit.... dodge dont have a top production anything)
piggy: those trucks must be old bro (80'S...THERE ARE STILL SOME 80'S FORDS ON THE ROADS....NOT DODGES OR GMS THOUGH, SO I KNOW IT CAN BE CONFUSSING)...either that or they ADDED block heaters to them to heat them up faster for personal warmth (to make the heaters work faster)...otherwise, there aint no fukin way they NEED them...NOWAY!
deepsouth....i KNOW you made a mistake....these other folks dont have to know what we know. shhhh

they didnt start making powerstrokes until early 90...the others were a ford engine ..the powerstroke is a international engine.....every ps i know is cold blooded
I will say this- Gas I prefer Chevy, just cause I was raised on a 350, but Diesel I used to say Ford for the Poserdtsoke, but the new Duramax is very tough and the Cummings has always been solid- so its a toss up- this is truck talk- not cars

i wasnt sure if you knew the difference between 80's-90's fords...appearently you do...i dont know what to say bro. i have absolutely zero experience with that....zero!!! i've been around them my entire life. i havnt seen ANY passenger diesel's plugged in overnight, in probobly, atleast...12-15years!! i cant even remember the last time...maybe early 90's thay had too, but i dont remember...i know there's not many 90's dodges on the road to see plugged in, so maybe they were fords....but thats LOOOOOOONG ago. and they're still running!!!

you looka t the top 10 quickest american made production cars of all time and 6 of them are dodge/plymouth....the roadrunners, 440 and 426...the viper...the challengers...the quickest factory car ever produced...the 68 hemi dart...dodge has ruled the musclecar sector for 40 years

my dad has an 83 chevy with the diesel in it...the ones that were small block chevy motors with diesel heads installed(6.8l i believe)...he lets his hands at the farm run it and that sucker has over 700,000 miles on it with only tranny and diff problems...guttless, but what a work horse

i'd agree to stay away from the 2003.5-2005 powerstroke...other than that, your golden!!! (and their not really that bad, just more likely for turbo prob's)
stay away from ALL gm diesels previous to duramax!!!!
cummings is a great engine. i've ALWAYS said that...it the rest of the dodge truck that has issues!! starting with tranny's and working it's way up from there!

Just for the record- 1994.5 was the introduction of the "7.3 Powerstroke" prior to that you have the 6.9 -7.3- Turbo 7.3- all 7.3's have been solid motors. Just when Ford was getting the 6.0 lined out(put on the open market April of 03)- they switched to this twin turbo( actually a piggybacked-one smaller than the other) 6.4 which has yet to prove itself. Chevey has vastly improved the Duramax(thought I would NEVER speak good of a GM diesel) in the last 2 yrs- and the Dodge Cummings has always been solid- the rest of the truck as Dave said is questionable. Now- If Toyota continues its plans on building the 8.0 Diesel truck- I will have to follow up on it.

even a broken clock is right 2x's a day!! most those older one were junk...gas conversions. sleeve would always go out...most didnt work as intended, but some were probobly fine...on both gm and ford...i'd say it was late 80's when they started concentrating on them. the 7.3 didnt start until 87-88 and it wasnt turbo'd until 93...it wanst "banks powerstroked" until 1994...and i still dont know why they are plugging them in other than to make their truck warm. they still sell block heaters for the cummings and the duramax...why do you think that is?

yea...they better get back to concentrating on their cars...the reliability rating is droping like a rock!! ford's gonna knock their ass back in the ditch!
