Last Sat we went to my Aunts surprise Bday party at a nice restaurant that was hosted by my cousin (her daughter). We get there and the waiter says cash bar, ok no big deal i will run a tab. Since there were 30 people all running tabs, i ask jokingly "how do you manage to keep track of each tab". He says "we've been doing this a long time and don't have problems". Well, wouldn't you know it, i get my tab and there are 6 Bacardi and Cokes, 4 Hiny's, 9 juices (kids were there), and 3 glasses of wine all of which my wife and i did not order. So...i confronted the waiter and he says "well the bacardi's were for the Bday girl (my aunt), the hiny's and wine were for the hosts (my cousin and her husband), the juices were for six of the kids that were not mine. I asked, "so what are you going to do about this". He says I guess I'll have to go up to the Bday girl and tell her she has to pay. WTF you stupid waiter!! and make me look like a fool. My wife came to me and said just let it go. Then i thought, how many other people do you think this waiter did that to at the party?? I asked for the manager and told him since this is their mistake, they must eat it. Freakin scam.

That's why I HATE eating out in groups...everytime people you think are your friends or family ****ing stiff you with the bill KNOWING that they didn't pay their share or tip their fair share....by biggest pet peeve.
I can't count how many times I've tipped 30% or more just to try to equal things out because of cheap asses....if you got the money to go out then tip and pay your share...if you don't then don't go out...it's that simple.Thomas Jefferson - "When the government fears the people there is liberty; when the people fear the government there is tyranny."

Also now a days managers are willing to bend over backwards for just about anything. At my job they're buying people meals left and right over the slightest complaint. Everyone's desperate to keep their clientele. Also since I've waited tables there's nothing that pisses me off more than crappy service or a bad attitude form the wait staff somewhere. In my head I'm like I know that I've been all smiles and nods to pricks ten times worse than me so why the hell is this F&^%@r giving me an attitude?Comment
