If by o.k. you mean good - no, we won't be o.k. but we would be better off than giving the politicians power and control to decide who benefits from "stimulus" and who wont.
The only option government has is to apply force and when that doesn't work they need more legislation that allows them to apply more force. No matter how you cut it - force does not correlate to stimulus. Force is the opposite of stimulus and the opposite of what we need.

The only solution we have is to stop doing what put us here and that is government intervention. The longer we wait to remove government from our economy, the longer and harder our economy will suffer. We have to let people fail and let people succeed by their own merit, not by government criteria.

But isn't that what was done the last 8 years? The Bush administration let the markets run ramped to do as they please, in the name of free market. That's what got us to where we are today.

A free market does not condone fraud. Fraud was rampant because the government created an environment where it could be (e.g. the community reinvestment acts) and when the government doesn't prosecute fraud, they might as well be condoning it but then they would have to acknowledge government intervention was the cause - which would result in politicians having less power.
Deregulation was not the problem - the problem was it wasn't done soon enough to prevent the results of government regulations initiated decades ago.

Why is it you cant take head out of ass and talk about today or the democratic congress that was in place when bush was in office and passed things. you liberals seem to forget the first 4 years were good. and you cant accept what bush inherited from clinton but thats all you do is blame republicans but forget there was a democratic controlled congress with a approval rating lower then bush's.keep up the spew because your getting no where. just like clinton said he wouldnt raise taxes but he did.
