Man crush - When a straight man has a "crush" on another man, not sexual but kind of idolizing him.
Another one:
A man having extreme admiration for another man, as though he wants to be him.
First used by radio personality Greg Henson of Detroit's "Motor City Middays"
"I've got one hell of a man crush on Hugh Hefner. He's made all the right moves."
Yet another:
A strong and extremely complicated positive emotion that a straight male feels towards another male. It is by no means homosexual, although it could possibly involve some degree of sexual attraction. This is not the type of sexual attraction that one would actually pursue; it is merely a complex sort of desire out of "fantasy" that is driven by jealousy and/or great admiration.
A 'man crush' can basically be described as not a homosexual lust, but a human lust.
And heres one you will all like:
Respect, admiration and idolization of another man. Non-sexual. Celebrities, athletes and rock stars are often the object of the man crush.
You can not have a man crush on a friend of yours. That is simply a strong friendship.
Two possible conditions for determining if you have a man crush are:
1. Badly wanting to be that man.
2. If your man crush approached your significant other and began hitting on her, you would excuse yourself and let him have her, at least temporarily.
