Okay, he points out the obvious. Do you want a cookie?

But what is he doing to fix it?

People hate too hear BAD NEWS, so most leaders hide it, can u think of some examples maybe?

Being honest, even if it is obvious, and i agree it is obvious, is the only way too gain and retain trust.

I just don't get it. He states the obvious and that makes him credible as if he is going to do something? He is proposing another bailout and we are already an ADDITIONAL 1.2 TRILLION dollars in the red....not counting previous debt.

I think you are putting too much faith into a guy that really hasn't shown much other than stating the obvious, appointing a whole lot of the "old guard" when he promised change, and a lot of blind followers.

When I here him shootin straight with the people about bad news - that is encouraging. Don't get me wrong, I don't think he will come to the right conclusion about how to react to the bad news most the time but at least he is acknowledging it. I heard him talking about cutting government programs and that we might not like it - this from a phucking democrat; there is hope!

One thing I have noticed about presidents in general is their impact on the societies psychology and this Obama trait will be a good thing.

              ahhhhhhh, klash,

              exactly how i see it

my take if we are going too spend money, spend it on something worthwhile for the future

the space program brought us the internet, tech revolution, which morphed into medical revolution with advent of computers, plus, cell phones and pc's

i think we're in for very very tough times, there is just not enough money, ie, profits to cover all this debt, period end of story, can't change the facts

imho, obie feels if he doesn't do it, it will get worse, almost paying up money to do something so folks feel like they are trying, whereas, i don't think it will do much, i think he is the guy to go thru it with in the fox hole
