he's certainly a fuk head, but they was a big influence. i wouldnt say they KEEP influencing though.
and jimmy i mentioned...for guitarist, hes def. top 5!! i remember when i started playing it was vanhalen, hendrix, clapton, page and black sabbith that pushed me to want to pick it up.
it was matallica and anthrax i wanted to be!

Liked them back in the 80's but I would hardly classify them as influential.

yea, well...i used the point system. 10.25, 10.5, 10.75 and so on. i can easily fit another 10-12 in that list, lol. it's hard narrow it all down to 10-15 bands!! so many greats

2- Rolling Stones
3-Black sabbath ALL of heavy metal was influenced by these guys..no sabbath=no metal
4-beatles
5-Nirvana pioneers of the grunge movement that rocked the entire 90's
6- Motley crue Started the whole glam rock movement that ruled the 80's
7- Who
8- Metallica
9-Lynard Skynrd
10-pink floyd

bob Dylan was huge but I dont know if maybe he just gets his own category, kinda like micheal jackson and elvis.. the EAGLES in the 70s were gynormous. Cars and police were big in the 80s. Hmmm. who else? Think of the groups that are still cranking out music that started in the 70s.....aerosmith, springsteen, OH, hey how bout CCR in the 60s?
