This is all true, but a parent isn't deemed a failure if a child becomes pregnant. Getting pregnant does not have a face, even an educated child can get pregnant.

so in all this age thing. I've noticed the age 5 & 6 thrown out there as a tender age for some harsh truth. A child, 5/6/...7yrs old as the thread is about, does have the capacity to retain information for life, of coarse. hell, kids have that ability much earlier in life than 7, but at such a young age, a single statement from a larger than life figure can, and most likely will, be a life long impression. It's not that the child can't handle, comprehend, or doesn't need to know and learn the information. It does become an issue of how the information is delivered, and what information is taught along with that statement. That was my point with the story about my friend telling his children the truth. And those early childhood yrs up to about 7yrs old are the most impressionable.

and as youve seen by my posts i do say...but not in those exact words..that like you said..its how the message is delivered...
i think to not tell kids the truth that mybe later on they will ask why they were lied to...
