I heard about that... I keep forgetting to buy it and check it out.. I thought it was a great movie and the ending was perfect... The only thing I didnt like was the special effects with the zombies, they were kind of cartooonish.. other then that, I thought it was awesome, but why didnt he just shooot the freakin lion AND the deer

finally saw it. The one I saw, which is widescreen, did end with him finding the cure and healing everyone. Not without having to give up his own life, and you didn't get to actually see everyone live happily ever after, but that was the whole conclusion. There was a collony of healthy people and his cure.
I actually enjoyed it. The zombies did look cartoonish. I even mentioned how they look like a crowd of zombies coming at you on Scooby Doo. But, I watched it. enjoyed it.
